Sir Philip Anthony Hopkins. Brytyjsko-amerykański aktor teatralny i filmowy.
Uczęszczał na kursy aktorskie przy National Theatre, gdzie później występował pod kierownictwem L. Oliviera. Po sukcesach na Broadwayu od 1968 gra głównie w filmie. Popularność zyskał dzięki rolom w filmach: Bunt na Bounty (1984, reż. R. Donaldson), Milczenie owiec (1991, reż. J. Demme, Oscar), Hannibal (2001, reż. R. Scott). Trzykrotnie nominowany do Oscara, trzykrotnie uhonorowany nagrodą BAFTA, m.in. za filmy: Cienista dolina (1993, reż. R. Attenborough), Okruchy dnia (1993, reż. I. Ivory).
